Trailing Ants

To assist in gaining management over ant problems the following things should be done:

• Discard any unwanted stored items from the premises
• Minimize the amount of mulch / leaf litter in gardens.
• Reduce excessive moisture to prevent areas of humidity
• Keep food stored in airtight containers
• Keep kitchen areas clean and free of liquid spills and food.
• Empty bins and ensure they are kept clean.
• Keep gardens well maintained, trim plants well away from buildings.
• Seal cracks and crevices where ants can gain entry to food storage and preparation areas.
• High levels of cleanliness should always be maintained to not attract ants.
• Do not spray ant trails because we bait the ant trails and trace the origins of the ants.
• If the trails are a problem, we will advise the customer to remove what the ants are attracted to and the trails will gradually disperse.
